I love Adolf Anderssen for the most. He never played boring chess.

Nice, will see if I can find a few of his games to study.
Read his chess manual if ypu haven't. It is named 'Chess Fundamentals'.
>>>ketchuplover (1189) I'm playing through my 40+ game sites and listening to Rush Limbaugh
Previously I played almost everywhere too but then I saw I timeout too much. Now I play 10-15 websites and the most concentrated here, I believe CC will be the best player-oriented chess community one day .
chess.com has moved the navigation menu to the left side of the page permanently apparently. There use(d) to be a top of page option too. The inmates are not pleased.
ketchuplover, I play there and I'm really disappointed with the way they admins work with ordinary users even in a case they are premium members. Their approach is 'inform us about your problem we will "think it over" for 3 days and then ask you about additional details once or even twice so that you appeared to be lazy to disturb us again. IMHO here on CC we ought to avoid such practice. Yes we can't apply all the desires of the members but we must do what we really can do otherwise we just have no respect to the community.
What are the thoughts on using opening databases? I sometimes use Chess Tempo but I’m most happy when the game leaves the Database as blinding following it has cost me many a game. On chess/dot/com I once started a discussion on how to avoid opening theory and the unanimous response was that we need to follow theory but that is is only valid if you are very strong player. I’ve found that the most popular way of avoiding database moves is to play an early a3 or h3 as white. This is often followed up with b4 and/or g4. White can afford to waste a tempo much more than black can.
Whatever happened to chess books? Hour upon hour following all those variations, having to keep resetting the pieces, then finding your opponent played a move outside the book (such as your a3). I found that trying to keep all (or some) of the more popular openings in my head when playing OTB was impossible, so I just took each game as it came - win some, lose some!
You know, I left only 5 resources where I play. All of them are not about just playing and this is the point. In 2019 we have a lot of places to play but we need atmoshere we need pleasant and useful communication!
