Sometimes a whole tournament is placed on hold, because both opponents is a no-show for their matches.

I try to keep an eye out for this, but should you be in a tournament where you are waiting for your next round, and the players in the previous round is holding up the tournament, please post the tournament name in this thread, so that the players can be disqualified from the tournament.

If your own opponent is a no show in a tournament, please take the time out victory. If you don't you run the risk of being disqualified as well.

I've asked Rafamaya (via email) to please claim his timeout victory against Njardus. I'll give him a few days to respond and if he does not claim his victory you will be advanced to the next round to be seated against Enroque.

In the early days of the site timeout victories were claimed automatically, preventing tournament stoppers. Can't we go back to that model?

And, while we're at it, what on earth is going on in Speed Kings Weekly XXIV? It looks like a freeze frame where our Romanian friends stopped playing simultaneously. As no one is still playing, are we going to just leave it as forfeit for all players? Totally remarkable that it came to a complete stop.

I'll have to look into this, to see what it would entail to get the auto timeouts set up again. I remember there being technical issues with the automatic timeouts last time, but if those issues can be resolved, auto timeouts will probably be the best option when it comes to tournament games.

QuicklyKNIGHT is still playing actively, but there seems to be a technical issue with Speed Kings Weekly XXIV. Will look into it.

Sometimes it takes a while for the new games to activate...

    And you're welcome...

  12. My chess pieces are distorted. The white knights are black bishops, and the white bishops are looking like floppy diskettes.

Try logging out and back in. I've notice there was a technical hickup recently with accessibility... but things seem to be back on track again.

If your problem persists Chinchin120, please let me know.

  14. I switched from using ipad to laptop, and everything seems fine now.
    thanks

  15. Please I'm still having a problem.
One of my games against Raminrus is malfunctioning.

After I played Bc4, my opponent's name was still appearing embossed like its still my turn to move. But my opponent's time was counting down. I left it for some days, still same thing. Just today I decided to touch my opponent's piece and entered the move Be7, and the computer accepted it. Now it appears like its my opponent's turn to move on the board, but my time is actually the one counting down.
And it seems like I'm also playing two black sides in that tournament against Raminrus, instead of the usual one white side and the other black side.
Please can you help me fix it? I can't move anything on the board, yet my time is still counting down

I'll look into this for you Chinchin, I can only however do so this evening (South African time).

  17. Alright, please do hurry.
My opponent is trying to take advantage of me now that he has control of moving my own pieces wherever he likes.
He just played Be6 with my own Bishop! Hahaha! An obvious bad move!!

Chinchin120 One of my games against Raminrus is malfunctioning.

I've removed that last TWO moves from the game, and corrected the faulty flag that determined whose move it is. It should now show that it is Raminrus' move. Please let me know if there are still technical problems with this game, otherwise, enjoy the rest of the game.

tallfred And, while we're at it, what on earth is going on in Speed Kings Weekly XXIV?

quicklyKNIGHT has been advanced to the next round in this tournament. It seems however that the two other players left in this tournament are currently inactive, so quicklyKNIGHT will probably win this tournament by default.
